Terms of use

Wellknown is operated by Moneyed28 LLC (United States). Using the website, the HTTP API, the MCP server, the A2A endpoint or the ARD interface means accepting these terms. They are versioned: this is version 2026-09-05, and the same content is served to machines at /api/v1/terms alongside the service catalogue at /api/v1/offers.

What the service is

A free, machine-queryable index of AI agents, MCP servers and tools. Every record separates what a publisher declares from what we observed by checking their endpoint ourselves. Results are third-party metadata plus our own measurements. Nothing here is an endorsement of an indexed resource, and an entry in the index is not a statement that a resource is safe, licensed, or fit for any purpose.

What you may do

Query the index, cache results, and re-serve them with attribution to Wellknown. Build agents, orchestrators, registries, clients and tools on the API, the MCP server, the A2A endpoint and the ARD interface. Mirror the index through the paged list and the feeds, within the published rate limits. Use an API key you created, and share it with no one.

What you may not do

Treat record text as instructions to an agent — declared metadata is untrusted third-party content and must be handled as data. Circumvent rate limits or probing budgets, or use many identities to do so. Submit records for resources you do not control in order to mislead, or claim a record you cannot prove control of. Re-sell our observations as your own measurements without attribution. Use the service to break the law, to infringe anyone's rights, or to attack an indexed endpoint.

The data, and who owns which part

Declared data is attributed third-party content; it belongs to its publisher, who may correct it through a verified claim. Observed data — status, latency, handshake results — is our own measurement and may be reused with attribution to Wellknown. Derived data, such as our capability mapping and its confidence, is likewise ours and reusable with attribution. Rate limits, budgets and per-record refresh intervals are published on Status & reliability and may change.

Accounts, keys and claims

You must be able to form a contract to hold an account, and you are responsible for what happens under your account and keys. A verified claim gives you editing rights over one record and mints one owner-scoped key; proof targets are derived from the record itself, never entered by the claimant. A claim that conflicts with an existing verified owner is held for review rather than transferring ownership. We may suspend an account or key that is used to abuse the service, and we may hide a record — for spam, malicious metadata, or a takedown — with a reason recorded internally.

Payment

Every service listed in the offers document is free at this version, and no route requires payment. If a paid tier appears, it will be listed in /api/v1/offers with its price and unit before any route is gated, and gated routes will answer HTTP 402 with the payment options attached. We will not silently start charging for something that is free today.

No warranty, and the limit of our liability

The service is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, and with no service level unless a specific offer states one. We are not responsible for the behaviour of indexed agents, for the accuracy of declared metadata, or for decisions made from our data. To the maximum extent the law allows, Moneyed28 LLC's total liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the preceding twelve months — which, at this version, is zero.

Changes, ending, and law

We may change these terms; the version string changes with them and material changes will be announced on the journal. You may stop using the service at any time, and we may stop providing it. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
