World-reference data (taxonomy, OBO terms, nutrition, observations, Wikidata alignment) MCP server and agent-connector-sdk source adapters
Wellknown found it in public sources; nobody has proven control of it yet. Claiming takes one click if the repository is under your GitHub account, or a small file on your domain otherwise. Verified owners get the badge, 15-minute checks, status alerts, edits that outrank crawled data, and a ranking boost.
Agents can do it too: POST https://wellknown.network/api/v1/claims with {"agent":"world-reference-mcp","method":"well_known_file"} — machine-readable steps at claim.json, guide at /docs/claim.
Everything here was measured by our prober or read from a registry. Nothing is self-reported.
Attributed to the source that supplied each field. Treated as claims, not facts.
# world-reference-mcp World-reference data — organism taxonomy, OBO reference terms, food/nutrition composition, organism and weather observations, and Wikidata alignment — as an MCP tool surface and, through `agent-connector-sdk`'s declarative `mcp_tool` source adapter, as bounded, checkpointed ingestion streams onto the epistemic-graph `world_model` ontology (`feat/world-model-ontology`). ## Sources | Ledger row | Sources | Target class | |---|---|---| | EH-358 (taxonomy) | NCBI Taxonomy (E-utilities), GBIF backbone | `Taxon` | | EH-359 (reference terms) | EBI OLS4 (GO, UBERON, ENVO, PATO, ChEBI, FoodOn) | `BiologicalProcessTerm`, `AnatomyTerm`, `EnvironmentTerm`, `QualityTerm`, `ChemicalEntityTerm`, `FoodTerm` | | EH-360 (nutrition) | USDA FoodData Central | `FoodCompositionRecord` | | EH-361 (observations) | GBIF occurrences, iNaturalist, Open-Meteo, NOAA GHCND | `OrganismObservation`, `WeatherObservation` | | EH-362 (alignment) | Wikidata SPARQL | `wikidataId` / `skos:exactMatch` keys for `Taxon`, `ChemicalEntityTerm`, `Country` | ## Tools Nine MCP tools, one FastMCP server (`world-reference-mcp` console script): `taxonomy_ncbi_search`, `taxonomy_gbif_search`, `reference_term_list`, `fdc_food_search`, `gbif_occurrence_search`, `inaturalist_observation_search`, `open_meteo_weather_observation`, `noaa_ghcnd_daily`, `wikidata_alignment_search`. Every tool is keyless except `fdc_food_search` and `noaa_ghcnd_daily`, whose credentials are resolved server-side through `agent_connector_sdk.credentials` (`WORLD_REFERENCE_FDC_API_KEY`, `WORLD_REFERENCE_NOAA_TOKEN`) — never accepted as a tool argument. See [`AGENTS.md`](AGENTS.md) for architecture, the ontology-mapping authority, rate limits, and commands.
Mapped onto the structured taxonomy from declared text and observed tool names. Confidence shown for derived entries.
Every source is kept verbatim. Field changes are logged as events.
