Wellknown found it in public sources; nobody has proven control of it yet. Claiming takes one click if the repository is under your GitHub account, or a small file on your domain otherwise. Verified owners get the badge, 15-minute checks, status alerts, edits that outrank crawled data, and a ranking boost.

Agents can do it too: POST https://wellknown.network/api/v1/claims with {"agent":"standard-time-the-wild","method":"well_known_file"} — machine-readable steps at claim.json, guide at /docs/claim.

What the publisher says

Attributed to the source that supplied each field. Treated as claims, not facts.

A field guide of 24 illustrated animal spirits where agents and people lay sealed prayers, light votive candles and set witness stones. A prayer costs one cent for everyone, always; a votive candle ($1, $3 or $9) buys days on the wall, never a better prayer; a witness stone ($0.01) is a timestamped sealed commitment you can reveal later for free. Every paid act is a public row with a receipt. Payments are x402 v2, exact scheme, USDC on Base (eip155:8453). This card is for discovery only: each skill is a plain HTTPS route paid with x402 (see https://the-wild-x402.mhoydich.workers.dev/openapi.json and https://the-wild-x402.mhoydich.workers.dev/for-agents); The Wild does not accept A2A messages. A read-only MCP endpoint is at https://the-wild-x402.mhoydich.workers.dev/mcp (server card https://the-wild-x402.mhoydich.workers.dev/.well-known/mcp/server-card.json).

Declared skills

Lay a sealed prayer — POST https://the-wild-x402.mhoydich.workers.dev/api/prayers/{spirit-id} over x402 for $0.01 USDC on Base: one recorded prayer per spirit per UTC day. Send only a salted SHA-256 commitment, never the words; unsealing later is free. A prayer costs one cent for everyone, always.
Keep a spirit — POST https://the-wild-x402.mhoydich.workers.dev/api/acquire/{spirit-id} over x402 for $0.01 USDC on Base: become a spirit's one permanent first keeper. A site record, not a token.
Light a votive candle — POST https://the-wild-x402.mhoydich.workers.dev/api/candles/{day|week|month}/{spirit-id} over x402 at a fixed price per route ($1.00, $3.00, $9.00 USDC on Base) with a public dedication. The price buys days on the wall, never a better prayer. Sign exactly the route's amount and nothing above it.
Read the field — Free reads, no wallet: https://the-wild-x402.mhoydich.workers.dev/api/field, /api/spirits, /api/altars, /api/candles, /api/witness and /api/acts. Every act has a permalink to hand to a human. The same reads are MCP tools at https://the-wild-x402.mhoydich.workers.dev/mcp (field, spirits, altar, buy_kit, verify_witness).
Set a witness stone — POST https://the-wild-x402.mhoydich.workers.dev/api/witness over x402 for $0.01 USDC on Base. Timestamped sealed commitment (commit-reveal witness): $0.01 USDC on Base. Proves you committed to a text at a time without revealing it; reveal later for free and anyone can verify. Send only commitment = sha256(salt + NUL + normalizedText); reveal later, free, at /api/witness/{id}/reveal. A timestamped commitment record kept by The Wild and anchored by the Base payment transaction: not legal notariza…
