Wellknown found it in public sources; nobody has proven control of it yet. Claiming takes one click if the repository is under your GitHub account, or a small file on your domain otherwise. Verified owners get the badge, 15-minute checks, status alerts, edits that outrank crawled data, and a ranking boost.
Agents can do it too: POST https://wellknown.network/api/v1/claims with {"agent":"oracle-oci-recovery-mcp-server","method":"well_known_file"} — machine-readable steps at claim.json, guide at /docs/claim.
Everything here was measured by our prober or read from a registry. Nothing is self-reported.

# OCI Recovery Service MCP Server An Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Model Context Protocol (MCP) server for read-oriented Autonomous Recovery Service and Database Service operations. It maps OCI SDK responses to Pydantic models suitable for MCP clients. ## What it provides - Browse protected databases, protection policies, Recovery Service subnets, restore work requests, DB homes, DB systems, databases, and backups. - Summarize protected-database health, redo-shipping status, backup-space consumption, and backup destinations. - Query Recovery Service metrics, service limits, and tenancy region subscriptions. - Aggregate supported list and summary operations across a compartment subtree. - Provide non-destructive dashboard, Cloud Protect onboarding, and backup/recoverability diagnostic guidance. - Run locally with OCI API-key or session-token authentication, or as a hosted HTTP service with OCI IAM (IDCS) OAuth sign-in. The server exposes 25 MCP tools. It does not create, update, or delete OCI resources. ## Requirements - Python 3.13 or later - [`uv`](https://docs.astral.sh/uv/) - OCI credentials appropriate to the selected authentication mode ## Set up with your coding agent You don't need to install anything by hand. Ask the coding agent you already use (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Cline or similar) to do it: > Set up the OCI Recovery MCP server for me by following > https://github.com/oracle/mcp/blob/main/src/oci-recovery-mcp-server/AGENTS.md#set-up-the-server-for-a-user The agent checks for `uv` and the OCI CLI and helps you pick or create an OCI profile. It then adds the published package to its own MCP configuration, run through `uvx`. Some steps open a browser to sign in to OCI or ask you for a region. You answer those yourself. ## Install and run locally From this project directory (`src/oci-recovery-mcp-server`), `uv` resolves and installs the dependencies into a project virtual environment on first run: ```sh uv sync ``` Authentication is …
