This project\nconverts linked PDFs to Markdown and builds a local search index, available through an\nMCP server for clients such as Claude Code and Codex.\n\n## What you can do\n\n- **Search across your papers' full text** and narrow results by author, title, citation key,\n  or publication year.\n- **Read the passages behind an answer**, search within one paper, and retrieve papers by\n  their Better BibTeX citation keys. Source locators let your assistant check that a cited\n  passage has not changed.\n- **Export BibTeX/BibLaTeX references** for the papers you use, with the optional Better BibTeX\n  integration enabled and Zotero running.\n- **Add papers by DOI and attach PDFs** through explicit CLI commands, using Zotero's PDF\n  lookup, a direct PDF URL, or a local file with the recommended debug-bridge/ZotMoov setup.\n- **Keep a readable Markdown library** with extracted images, add newly linked PDFs to the\n  index, and check for missing or outdated conversions.\n- **Search locally with Zotero closed** once the index is built.
