This MCP server lets you ask an AI assistant to capture what's currently displayed, enabling visual feedback and AI-assisted CAD development.\n\n**Example workflow:**\n1. You're designing a part in a Jupyter notebook with CadQuery\n2. You run `show(my_part)` to display it in the OCP viewer\n3. You ask the AI: *\"capture the current view - does this geometry look correct?\"*\n4. The AI captures a screenshot and can analyze the 3D model visually\n\n## Installation\n\n```bash\npip install ocp-viewer-mcp\n```\n\n**Requirements:**\n- Python 3.10+\n- [OCP CAD Viewer](https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=bernhard-42.ocp-cad-viewer) VS Code/Cursor extension\n- [ocp-vscode](https://pypi.org/project/ocp-vscode/) Python package (for `show()` function)\n\n## Configuration\n\n### Cursor\n\nAdd to your `~/.cursor/mcp.json`:\n\n```json\n{\n  \"mcpServers\": {\n    \"ocp-viewer\": {\n      \"command\": \"python\",\n      \"args\": [\"-m\", \"ocp_viewer_mcp.server\"]\n    }\n  }\n}\n```\n\nIf you're using a virtual environment (recommended), specify the full Python path:\n\n```json\n{\n  \"mcpServers\": {\n    \"ocp-viewer\": {\n      \"command\": \"/path/to/your/venv/bin/python\",\n      \"args\": [\"-m\", \"ocp_viewer_mcp.server\"]\n    }\n  }\n}\n```\n\n### Claude Desktop\n\nAdd to your Claude Desktop config (`~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json` …","publisher":{"name":"Milad","url":null},"homepage":"https://github.com/dmilad/ocp-viewer-mcp","repository":"https://github.com/dmilad/ocp-viewer-mcp","version":"0.1.0","license":"MIT","protocols":["mcp"],"tags":["mcp","cadquery","build123d","ocp","cad","cursor","ai","screenshot"],"pricing":null,"endpoints":[{"url":"pypi:ocp-viewer-mcp","type":"package_pypi","auth":null,"probeable":false}],"skills":null,"tools":null,"extra":null,"attribution":{"kind":"pypi","name":"pypi","license":"pypi","repoUrl":"pypi","summary":"pypi","version":"pypi","description":"pypi","homepageUrl":"pypi","publisherName":"pypi"}},"derived":{"capabilities":[{"slug":"media.3d","name":"3D & Design","confidence":1,"provenance":"declared"},{"slug":"dev.package-management","name":"Packages & Dependencies","confidence":0.768,"provenance":"derived"}],"categories":["dev","media"],"language":"en"},"observed":{"status":"unknown","statusReason":"Distributed as a package to run locally; no network endpoint to check.","lastOkAt":null,"lastProbedAt":null,"statusComputedAt":null,"reliability30d":null,"latestObservations":[],"tools":null,"package":{"name":"ocp-viewer-mcp","registry":"pypi","observedAt":"2026-11-03T20:29:36.942Z","publishedAt":"2025-12-25T03:01:35.331064Z","latestVersion":"0.1.0"},"toolSurface":null,"endpointFacts":[]},"verification":{"claimed":false,"claimedAt":null,"proofs":[]},"provenance":{"sources":[{"source":"pypi","key":"ocp-viewer-mcp","url":"https://pypi.org/project/ocp-viewer-mcp/","firstSeenAt":"2026-09-10T08:26:00.468Z","fetchedAt":"2026-11-03T20:28:15.169Z","normalizedAt":"2026-11-03T20:28:15.169Z"}]},"firstSeenAt":"2026-09-10T08:26:00.468Z","updatedAt":"2026-11-03T20:29:36.942Z"}
