That's great until you need to answer questions like:\n\n- What data did the agent actually read?\n- Did it access anything it shouldn't have?\n- Which tool call failed, and what arguments did it pass?\n- Who approved that PTO request — a human or the model?\n\nApplication logs won't tell you this. You need something that understands the MCP protocol itself.\n\n## Install\n\n```bash\npip install mcp-audit-trail\n```\n\nNo runtime dependencies. Seriously — the core library is pure Python stdlib. You only need the `mcp` SDK if you want to run the included demo server.\n\n## Quickstart\n\n### 1. Proxy your server (nothing to change)\n\nStick the proxy between your client and server.
